If you are reading this page, you probably know us already. If we have not met you yet, we are the Kildays! – Thais, Doug, and our three amazing kids (ages 14, 11, and 9).

We are just like most of you. We are a family that encounters struggles and challenges, hopes and celebrations, joys and sorrows, burdens and responsibilities, and a lot of love and laughter. We are flawed and imperfect, but we serve a God who loves us anyway.

Thais and Doug met at Rhodes College in 1989, married in 1993, and have lived in Austin, Texas for 22 years.

Thais holds two graduate degrees from the University of Texas and has worked with the Executive Team for the Texas Health and Human Services Commission and its predecessor agency, the Texas Department of Human Services. She has also put in many long hours as a Supermom while also serving as a Court Appointed Special Advocate and a volunteer with Refugee Services of Texas, among many other roles. When she is not juggling the various demands of her family and volunteer responsibilities, Thais enjoys reading, travelling, napping, an occasional movie, and perhaps a glass of wine.

Doug has spent the last 22 years with Graves, Dougherty, Hearon, & Moody, P.C., handling business litigation disputes of all kinds and sizes. For the last three years, Doug has served as head of the firm’s Litigation Section, where he has worked very hard not to tarnish the firm’s otherwise sterling reputation. When he is not at work or serving in the community, Doug enjoys being with his family, cooking, hiking, swimming, photography, college football, and reading.

The Kildays are active members of Covenant Presbyterian Church, where Thais and Doug have both served as Elders and as members of numerous committees.

In Austin, the Kilday kids attended Lamar Middle School and Highland Park Elementary School. Our eldest is a cheerleader, a singer/performer, a swimmer, and a bundle of early teen energy and fun. Our middle kid is an avid reader, a soccer player, a Cub Scout, a chess player, and a student of science and space. Our youngest is an artist, a reader, a master of Legos, a Cub Scout, and perhaps the biggest fan of bunnies and stuffed animals that you will ever meet. We are so lucky to get to be their parents!

The Kildays have been called to spend 2017 working with International Justice Mission (IJM). In January, we made our way to live and serve in Cambodia. We look forward to sharing our journey with you!
